The Work

You translate everything, whether physical, mental or spiritual,
into muscular tension.

The Alexander Technique

The Alexander Technique is a practice of self-discovery addressing habits both physically and mentally. Certified teachers spent at least 1600 hours of study working on his/her self as well as hands-on. This investigative self-learning space is non-judgmental and highly educational.

It is the essence of mindfulness in motion.

The work is that of undoing. Rather than teaching you what to do, we work to remove layers of interference between you and your optimal overall functioning.

The interested student, with an open-mind and desire to improve, learns through gaining awareness of what habits need letting go in activities such as sitting, walking, standing. Addressing our posture in every day movements serves as a microcosm to address overall habits. With intention and practice, this transcends beyond sessions into the real world in very practical, effective ways.

By aligning body and mind, the student develops a greater sense of presence, poise, ease and confidence in every day activities such as putting away the dishes to higher pressure situations like presentations, interviews, and performances.
