  1. Grounding Body Scan and Alignment Meditation (10 min)

Q: What should I wear?

A: Wear comfortable, not tight clothing. No belts, turtle necks, collars, or hoodies.

Q: I have a disability, will this be accessible?

A: Please reach out to to discuss your individual needs so I can try to accommodate you.

Q: I can’t come in-person, is it still effective online?

A: Yes! Online has proven extremely effective for self-study. There are many testimonials here from my online students. There are many ways to learn, what’s important is that we are becoming more aware, more whole, and learning how to unlearn habits that no longer serve us. Body Mindfulness and Alexander Technique are fundamentally about the connection and relationship between mind, body, breath and movement.

Q: What are the instructor’s qualifications?

A: I completed 1800 hours (four years) of Teacher Training in Alexander Technique. I’ve been studying the technique for over a decade and my posture has changed dramatically.

Perhaps most importantly, my journey overcoming debilitating chronic pain and navigating through trauma allowed me to become the teacher that I am.

I received a BA from The University of Texas in English and Education. I then worked with children with disabilities for a number of years while I also performed in bands. Additionally, my experience studying Vipassana Meditation, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Mobility Methods such as Animal Flow, Feldenkrais Method have further informed my practice.
