How I got into Sound Healing

Sound healing has been the perfect intersection of music and wellness for me. Sound vibrations are a sonic massage, moving stuck energy, and music has been a source for healing since the dawn of time.
As a musician and performer at heart, who decided the lifestyle and career path wasn’t for me, finding a space to still use the power of music has been incredibly rewarding.
This particular night at the iconic @hwdforever for @visitmurmur was especially special.
How I started:
When my mom was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer I searched for things I could do to help soothe her. Hands-on work wasn’t always an option for various reasons, and as I researched, I found out about the beneficial effects of crystal quartz singing bowls tuned to 432 hertz (frequency found in nature). I invested in a set from @sonicbeing and began. My mom loved it. She has since passed, but the good vibrations live on.
Additionally, in my practice, which is grounded in #alexandertechnique - sometimes it can be helpful to supplement with sound healing to calm the nervous system and promote focus.
